Stress Symptoms

We all need an element of stress in our lives– the kind that motivates us, that helps us take action and achieve our goals. However, when we have too much pressure and fail to take steps to maintain a healthy balance in our lives, we can begin to feel overwhelmed. Often we experience a feeling of not having control over our lives and can start to experience a range of physical and emotional symptoms. Left unchecked, these can have a serious affect of our health.

Stress Symptoms: If you are experiencing some of the symptoms below, (and have ruled out any medical cause with your GP) it’s time to take action. Your body and mind are amazing ~ it has an early warning system, a way of letting you know you need to ease up, to build balance and relaxation into your life on a daily basis.
Symptoms of stress may include:
  • Headache
  • Muscle tension
  • General aches & pains
  • Chest pain
  • Breathing problems
  • Stomach upsets
  • Dizziness
  • Feeling anxious or weepy
  • Change in moods e.g. impatient, angry, weepy
  • Change in sex drive
  • Low mood or depression
  • Tiredness
  • Inability to concentrate
  • Difficulty in making decisions
  • Sleep problems
  • Change of eating habits
  • Dependency on alcohol, cigarettes or drugs
  • Low self-esteem
  • Exhaustion
