This month, I thought I’d share a link to one of my favourite Ted Talks. Maysoon Zayid is an inspirational speaker, comedienne and shining example of how our outlook on life and a positive mindset can help us through the most difficult challenges that life throws our way.

For me, managing stress is about managing it daily- it’s about finding ways to feed the mind, body and soul and about following my passion – but sometimes, when we get stressed we can lose sight of that, of what drives us, what feeds us, and that’s the time we need to recognise the need to nurture ourselves. One way to help switch our mindset can be by doing things that change our energy, our head space and kick-start the positive process.  And there are so many ways to do this: getting some fresh air, having a stroll or a short brisk walk, meeting a friend, listening to music, writing, painting, journaling , seeing a feel-good movie, joining a club or group, taking up a new interest, doing some relaxation, breathing or meditation, visiting a gallery, an exhibition or just people watching in a pavement café.
